| Earth (Spring) Created in drunkenness and despair in a trailer in the wilds of New Mexico, Spring here illustrates some things you're probably not supposed to be able to do with cuttlebone casting. Absolutely and unquestionably my favourite piece I've ever made. It's a candleholder, designed so that the wax interacts with the piece. As it drips from the petals, it falls to the stem-wires supporting the candle-cup and twists its way down to the base, where it collects in the indentations and traces the outlines of the roots. MAN, I love this piece. No, you cannot have it. I could make you one similar, of course, should you wish to contact me about it... |
