Water

The first in a projected series of four candleholders exploring the four
elements, Water, like
Spring, was created in drunken despair in New Mexico,
and is one of my favourite pieces.  Perhaps we blame Jack Daniels for that
apparent theme, as I hesitate to commend depression for it.

The cuttlebone-cast base evokes the idea of flowing water with its texture, in
addition to having been cast in the 'bone' of a sea creature.  Light from
surrounding candles plays through the supporting veins (the rivers and
streams of the body) on the surface of the water held in the bowl.
The items in the Eldritch Horrors Gallery pages are not for sale, though they can be used as the
inspiration for one-of-a-kind commissions.
